Important Considerations When Applying For The 2021 Q2 Employee Retention Credit
The CARES Act offers a credit for employee retention that encourages employers to keep employees on their rolls. The refundable credit for taxes is 50% of the maximum $10,000 wages paid by an eligible employer whose company has been financially impacted due to COVID-19. Eligible employers may be eligible to receive both the Credit and tax credits for qualified sick or family leave wages. The credit for qualified sick leave and family leave earnings is not included in the amount that an eligible employer may claim for the Credit.
